Pensacola "Home of the BLUE ANGELS"

Pensacola offers lots of diving opportunities along with the "Mighty O". Lots of wrecks and artificial reefs are located close to Pensacola Bay. Even some sites are accessible from the beach like 19th century wrecks, natural structure, and artificial reefs.

Pensacola is home to the largest artificial reef, the Aircraft Carrier USS Oriskany, intentionally sunk in 2006 twenty two miles off shore . The Super Structure is accessible to recreational divers starting at a depth of 85ft. The flight deck is at 140ft with the ship sitting in 210ft of water.

Just a few of the wrecks found here are the Russian Freighter, Navy YDT's, Sylvia, Catherine, USS Massachusetts, Tug Heron, Antares, and the Avocet just to name a few. You can dive artificial reefs made up with oil rigs, radio towers, tanks, and all kinds of interesting things, you even find a great selection of aircraft out there.

We plan on diving here later in the Year (September or October). Which will include a trip out to the "Mighty O", and several other sites. Anybody interest contact the shop and let us know you want to go.
