Carolina Coast
Also known as the Graveyard of the
Atlantic. Lots of ships were sunk by violent seas or by German U Boats
during WWII, lots of ships were sunk intentionally for artificial
reefs. These Wrecks provide some great diving, it is not just the
wrecks but the diversity of marine life that is found here. Several
ledges also provide the structure for corals, turtles, lobsters, and
fishes.
The Fossil Ledge is popular for its large number of sharks teeth and
whale bones that are found here. Megalodon teeth and a variety of other
sharks teeth are common finds, along with whale rib bones, large
vertebrate, and an assortment of other fossils. This is an awesome dive
site, even if you don't find any teeth, the marine life is incredible.
Most of our trips depart from Wilmington to destinations like the
Markham, Hyde, John D. Gill, Rosin Wreck, Cassmir, Normania, City of
Houston, or the U352. One of our most popular destinations is the
Fossil Ledge.
Prices start
at $70/day up to $200/day . Pricing varies depending
on the dive locations and the number of dives per day. Please, call the
shop for exact pricing for each trip and to make reservations. For
these trips we usually charter the whole dive boat, you will also be
accompanied by one of our instructors.
