Scuba Adventures was started by
three local scuba divers. We opened our doors in June of 2010 and
turned a passion for the sport into a full time operation. We
are Michael Maneth, a Padi Scuba Instructor and Master Scuba Diver
Trainer, is a General Contractor during the week. Mike started diving
in 2007 and has logged over 500 dives in just a few years. He prefers
wreck diving along the Atlantic Coast and the Gulf of Mexico exploring
wrecks like the U352, Spiegel Grove, and the Big "O", just to name a
few. Kevin Duckworth also a Padi Instructor and Master Scuba Diver
Trainer, retired from the Burke County Sheriff's Office, has been
diving for 40 years. Kevin's favorite dive spot is probably the Cooper
River in South Carolina, where he loves to look for artifacts,
pre-historic sharks teeth and fossils. Ron Vodan, a
Padi Dive Master is the Facilities Director at Caldwell
Memorial Hospital. Ron got into diving in 2001 to spend quality time
with family, getting certified together with his daughter and wife. And
up to this day most of their vacations involve scuba diving. One thing
the three of us have in common, we like to get other people interested
and teach them how to dive. Scuba Diving is an awesome experience we
like to share with others.
The three of us bought Sea World
Divers from David and Ruby Locke and moved the operation to Rutherford
College and opened it as Scuba Adventures. Ruby stayed on as a Scuba
Instructor for Scuba Adventures and continues to manage the Dive Club
she started, Sea World Divers Dive Club.
Scuba Adventures strives to offer
friendly and affordable scuba instruction from your basic Open Water
certification to the professional level of Scuba Instructor, and
everything in between like Advanced Open Water Diver, Rescue Diver, and
17 different Specialty Certifications. All classes are private classes,
and scheduling is with our customers availability in mind. We try to
keep the cost for our classes, and services affordable for everybody.
Scuba Diving compared to other sports and hobbies is inexpensive. Most
people are surprised to find how little it costs and how
quickly they will be underwater scuba diving. Scuba Diving also has a
very good track record when it comes to safety. You will find quality
equipment at our store that is priced very affordable, but what sets us
apart is our return and trade-in policy, and the service we offer on
what we sell. If we sell you anything that does not fit or
performs as promised, bring it back and we'll exchange it for
what will. Want to upgrade a piece of gear that you bought from us, we
will give you full credit on the original purchase towards the upgrade.
Our goal is to provide the best
customer service, and experience possible. We will get you involved in
the sport of scuba diving and hopefully have you develop the same life
long passion as we have for diving. We promise to keep our
pricing affordable and as low as possible.
